Best AI SDR for HubSpot — 4 tools we tested
We ran a live test on a HubSpot Pro tenant with 200+ inbound conversations across four AI SDR platforms. Below is the verdict, the head-to-head, and which one to pick for each cohort. Disclosure: Twig makes Sera — so we tried to be louder about the weaknesses than the wins.
Twig Sera
Pick for: Most HubSpot teams in 2026The CRM-agnostic, LLM-first option built post-Qualified/Drift consolidation. Chat + voice + email in one agent. $5/resolved ticket — cheapest TCO in the set. Active 2026 roadmap.
Strength
Voice channel is the differentiator no other tool in this set has. HubSpot integration is active, not maintenance. Pay-per-resolution scales with usage, not seats.
Weakness
Newer brand than Drift or Qualified — fewer marquee logos. Voice infrastructure means the inbound phone number setup is one more dependency.
$5 / resolved ticket · 100 free / month · no seat license
Intercom Fin
Pick for: Teams already on Intercom for supportStrong if you already pay Intercom for customer support. Per-resolution pricing aligns with value. SDR features bolt onto support seats — adequate for HubSpot teams but customer-support is the primary use case.
Strength
Pricing model ($0.99/resolution) is honest. Tight integration with Intercom Inbox. Resolution rates compete with Sera on chat-only.
Weakness
Requires Intercom platform seats to actually deploy — TCO is much higher than the $0.99 headline. Chat-only. Customer-support-first feature roadmap.
$0.99 / resolution + ~$74 / Intercom seat / month
Qualified (post-Salesforce)
Pick for: Teams planning to migrate to Salesforce anywayWas the HubSpot-on-AI-SDR category leader. Post-acquisition, the roadmap is Salesforce-only. New contracts on HubSpot are not being signed. Existing customers grandfathered — but on a frozen feature set.
Strength
Mature product. Account-level visitor identification is best-in-class. Live-view inside the CRM is unmatched (if you're on Salesforce).
Weakness
No HubSpot roadmap. Chat-only. Highest list price in the set. Salesforce-license-required posture for new contracts.
~$36K – $120K+ / year · per-seat · platform fee
Drift (Salesloft)
Pick for: Legacy Drift customers staying putFolded into Salesloft post-2022 acquisition. Standalone product velocity has dropped — new investment is on the Salesloft revenue platform, not Drift. Reasonable if you're already on Salesloft + Drift bundle.
Strength
Mature widget and playbook system. Drift Video is differentiated for async demos.
Weakness
Rules-based playbook layer predates LLMs and shows it. Chat-only. Roadmap consolidated into Salesloft. Not a forward-looking pick.
~$30K – $90K+ / year · per-seat · bundled with Salesloft
Which one to pick — by cohort
| Your situation | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| HubSpot SaaS team, < 50 reps | Twig Sera | Lowest TCO, voice + email out of the box, no Intercom or Salesloft platform license required. |
| Already deeply on Intercom for support | Intercom Fin | If you're paying for Intercom seats anyway, Fin is the lowest marginal cost. Sera + Intercom is also valid if you want voice. |
| Migrating to Salesforce in <12 months | Qualified | Bet on the post-acquisition stack. Don't double-migrate. |
| Existing Drift customer on Salesloft bundle | Sera (after Drift renewal) or stay if happy | Drift still works, but is not the forward-looking choice for new investment. |
People also ask
Why is Qualified ranked third when it used to be the category leader?+
Two reasons. (1) Post-Salesforce acquisition (2026), Qualified's roadmap, new integrations, and engineering investment have consolidated to Salesforce-side. HubSpot is no longer the platform of investment. (2) Qualified is chat-only — Sera and Fin both have meaningful channel advantages (voice, email). For HubSpot teams specifically, the category leader for new purchase is no longer Qualified.
What about Drift Video? Is anything replacing it?+
Drift Video was a differentiated async-demo tool — nobody in this set replaces it 1:1. Most ex-Drift teams either keep Drift Video as a standalone tool, switch to Loom for async, or drop the async-video step entirely. Sera doesn't compete with Drift Video; it competes with Drift's chat layer.
Did you actually test these four?+
Yes — on a live HubSpot Pro tenant with 200+ inbound conversations across each platform. Test methodology: (1) same content base (HubSpot Help + product docs + 500 historical chat transcripts), (2) same routing rules, (3) human-graded responses on a 5-dimension rubric (relevance, accuracy, escalation appropriateness, qualification depth, response time). Sera and Fin scored highest. Qualified scored well but the HubSpot integration regressions hit the qualification depth score.
What about Salesforce Einstein? Doesn't HubSpot have its own AI?+
Salesforce Einstein isn't relevant if you're on HubSpot. HubSpot's native AI (Breeze) is more of a copilot for marketers than an SDR — it doesn't handle live inbound chat as an agent. If you want HubSpot-native AI for inbound, you're picking from this set.
How long does it take to actually run a pilot?+
Twig and Intercom Fin both have free or low-commit tiers — you can have a working pilot inside a week. Qualified and Drift require sales-led commercial conversations + paid platform license before a real test. The evaluation cost asymmetry is itself a signal.
